Share a pill as text
- Open a pill, click ⋯, and choose Copy as text. Send the text to someone.
- To add a pill you received, click Paste in Add pill, or Paste… in Edit ring.
- Read the review. It warns about pills that run programs, click, read files, or send requests. Add the pill only if you trust it.
- Set up any key, model, or program it needs. A shared pill arrives without its shortcut.
Keep pills and rings in the library
Save to library keeps a copy of a pill in the Library list in Add pill. Move to library also takes it out of its ring. In Edit ring, Save to library saves the whole ring, and clicking it in Library brings it back as a ring. Right-click a library item and choose Remove from library to delete it.
The library is stored on your PC only.

In Settings, open Backup. Under Settings file, click Export… to save your rings, pills, models, and shortcuts to a file. On another PC, click Import…. It lists what the file replaces, flags actions that change your PC, and asks before it applies anything. Anything the file leaves out stays as it is.
- Left out: your API keys. Add them again on the other PC.
- Included: recordings and any text written into pills. Check these before you share the file.
- Not included: notes, answer history, custom icons, the file index, and downloaded models.
Back up notes and answer history
Exit Rondell from the tray menu first, so everything is saved. Then copy these folders and files. Rondell stores them in two places: next to rondell.exe, and in %LOCALAPPDATA%\Rondell.
- Notes: notes.json and the notes-files folder, both in %LOCALAPPDATA%\Rondell. Also keep any original files your notes link to.
- Answer history: the QuickSearch\Answers folder next to rondell.exe.
- Custom icons: the Icons folder next to rondell.exe.
- Kept values from Set a value: kept.json in %LOCALAPPDATA%\Rondell.
Reset to defaults
In Settings, open Backup and click Reset to defaults, then Reset everything. Your rings, rules, models, shortcuts, and panel choices go back to how Rondell came. Your API keys stay. Export first if you might want your rings back.
